A one-day course to slow down, observe, and refresh the senses through the medium of haiku. This form of short poem captures a moment in nature. They are a way to write what you experience – right now! Poet, Diana Levy will begin by teaching about the form of haiku, which has evolved from its Japanese beginnings.
From the Zen Centre we’ll go on a ginko (a walk in nature) down through White’s Creek Reserve and write. We’ll return for lunch which Diana will provide: soup, bread, cheese and a home-grown salad (vegetarian & gluten free). In the afternoon we’ll review, polish and share our work – and have tea.
