MEASURES TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID 19:
The Board and teachers have decided to cancel activities over April and May to minimise the risk of Covid 19 to ourselves and spreading through the sangha.
The Annandale zendo will be closed till further notice. But you can still connect with the teachers and the sangha:
On-line practice community dojo (via Zoom) with Subhana Barzaghi.
Schedule outline: We will have a brief introduction with some guidelines on how to use Zoom. Followed by 20 minutes guided meditation, perhaps a short talk and then a sharing. We’ll end the meeting with Great Vows at 8.30 pm.
You’ll need to login to the meeting using:
Meeting ID: 893 105 189
If this is the first time you have used Zoom, you will need to install a web browser client, which will download automatically when you join the meeting. Please allow a few minutes to do this, so that you are ready to start at 7.00 pm.
So that we can plan numbers, please RSVP firstname.lastname@example.org if you intend joining these meeting.
If you are interested in participating in Wednesday night group sitting, with Gillian Coote, from the comfort of your own home, please express your interest by e-mail to email@example.com.
The Board wishes you all a safe time ahead. And in this time of uncertainty we recommend you maintain your practice and remember to breathe and stay connected.
Dharma Cafe is a discussion evening, held once every two months, which is open to everyone. It is a good chance to ask those questions you’ve been sitting on for some time, or one’s that have just emerged from your daily life. It may be a question about Zen philosophy, terminology or practice. Or it might be a so called ‘simple’ question about how to live a better life. All enquiry is welcome.
Dharma Cafe evenings:
February – Monday 10th & Wednesday 12th
April – Monday 6th & Wednesday 8th
June – Monday 8th & Wednesday 10th
August – Monday 3rd & Wednesday 5th
October – Monday 12th & Wednesday 14th
December – Monday 30th November & Wednesday 2nd December
These dates fall around the full moon and take place in the week after orientations. They are on alternate months to the Full Moon Precept ceremonies.
