MEASURES TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID 19:
The Board and teachers have decided to reorganise some activities for the next few months to minimise the risk of Covid 19 to ourselves and spreading through the sangha.
The Annandale zendo is open on some days from Wednesday 8th July, and you can still connect with the teachers and the sangha online via Zoom. Discussions about practice and daily life – Dharma Cafes – will be integrated into the schedules on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Please go to ‘Meditation‘ for more information.
The Sydney Zen Centre relies on the financial support of its members and visitors. If you are a non-member participating in our on-line meditation program, we request a facility fee of $5 (provided your income makes this affordable). You can pay this direct to our bank account: BSB 062 182 Account number 1013 7103. Please tag the payment with your name and the letters “FF”.
The Board wishes you all a safe time ahead. And in this time of uncertainty we recommend you maintain your practice and remember to breathe and stay connected.
Dharma Cafe is a discussion evening, held once every two months, which is open to everyone. It is a good chance to ask those questions you’ve been sitting on for some time, or one’s that have just emerged from your daily life. It may be a question about Zen philosophy, terminology or practice. Or it might be a so called ‘simple’ question about how to live a better life. All enquiry is welcome.
Dharma Cafe evenings:
February – Monday 10th & Wednesday 12th
April – Monday 6th & Wednesday 8th
June – Monday 8th & Wednesday 10th
August – Monday 3rd & Wednesday 5th
October – Monday 12th & Wednesday 14th
December – Monday 30th November & Wednesday 2nd December
These dates fall around the full moon and take place in the week after orientations. They are on alternate months to the Full Moon Precept ceremonies.
